It’s all waking up around us NOW …

What is calling you? Do you long to feel your spirit, get your spark back? To feel your feet take root in the ground, touch your deepest creativity, dance and sing? Find a new direction?

If you want to start creating the life you long for – one that is more alive and more exuberantly YOU, then I have something for you.

Here are a few words and an art-therapeutic exercise from the HEAL-cards that can open you up to what is calling to you – that is, your calling.

“Instead, create a clearing in the dense forest of your life and wait there patiently, until the song that is yours alone to sing falls into your open cupped hands and you recognize and greet it. Only then will you know how to give yourself to the world so worthy of rescue.”

– Martha Postlethwaite, American poet, author, and pastor in the recovery movement.

Here is the exercise that connects you with your spirit and your calling – it takes about 15 minutes to do:

A calling is a life purpose that you take on because a strong inner drive in you calls on you, not just for success or money. A calling is a way of expressing your soul in the world, a way of giving life your gift.

Draw three circles that overlap. In the first circle, write a few words (or draw a little) about what activities and tasks, really awaken your curiosity and make you feel alive and turned on.

In the next circle, write about everything you think should be done in the world. Where do you think there is a real need for help? What would really help the world?

In the last circle, write about what you know you are good at. Think about both what you feel good at and what others have repeatedly said to you about what you do well.

In the rounded triangular shape in the middle, which in geometry is called the Reuleaux triangle, now write about that which is repeated in all three circles.

What do you love to do that the world needs and that you are good at?

Could that be your calling?

There will be lots of this kind of stuff in the HEAL cards that you can grab in the coming months.

With love,

Karin
